A Modification of the Elliptic Curve Massey-Omura Cryptosystem
Abstract
Some developments have been made to the Massey-Omura cryptographic system because of its significance. These changes include boosting security or speed to keep up with the rapid advancement of technology in data exchange. In the paper, the elliptic curve analogue Massey-Omura cryptosystem is modified using the matrix structure. Compared to the original system, the novel approach offers better security because the attacker would have to solve the ECDLP more than once, depending on the size of the chosen secret matrices.
