HYBRID QUARTIC B-SPLINE METHOD FOR SOLVING TIME FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS
Abstract
This research aims to propose a numerical method for solving time fractional partial differential
equations (TFPDE) by hybrid b-spline method (HB-spline ) which reduces to quartic trigonometric b-spline
and quartic b-spline. The spatial derivatives are discretized employing HB-spline functions, the time derivative
is discretized using the denition of the Caputo derivative. By employing HB-spline, the investigated equation
is transformed into a series of algebraic equations, facilitating a straightforward solution. The unconditional
stability of the approach is demonstrated. Through the provided examples, the numerical results show how
well the new technique performs.
