Abstract

The soil preparation and management can influence the rates of hydric erosion occurred in the soil exposing it more or less intensively to the impact of the rain drops and the action of the torrent, provoking the occurrence of erosion, which can bring on the degradation of the soil structure, soil, water, nutrients and organic matter losses with the decreasing of chemical, physical and biological fertility bringing on serious damage to the agricultural sector. In this context, several studies have been carried out with the objective of evaluating how different management have influenced the hydric erosion and consequently the process of soil, water and nutrients loss, with emphasis to the losses in the no-till system. The present work aimed to present the results of the literature concerning to erosion in the no-till system and the soil, water and nutrients loss in comparison to other types of management and soil preparation. We verified that the no-till system is an effective technique for the reduction of soil loss caused by hydric erosion, although it does not present the same efficiency in the reduction of water and nutrients loss.
