Abstract
The purpose of this research was to evaluate features of quality of services offered to woman with Human Papillomavirus from the basic health services in the city of Tubarão, through National Uterine Cervical Cancer Control Program of Ministry of Health. It is a qualitative approach case-study which used observation and semi-structured interviews with 16 selected women so as to get to know their profile, perceptions and satisfaction towards the attention provided to them, evaluated in accordance with the Program. The results showed organizational failures towards the follow-up of these women, as well as inconsistencies towards the adoption of diagnostic conducts and therapeutics and incorrect information about exams sequence and results. There was also lack of organization to help the women whose exams showed colposcopic changes, and those who needed follow-up. These factors may work as barriers to join the program and compromise its quality. The results of the evaluation are hopefully expected to extend the perspective of improvement towards the quality of the programs, and support the development of strategies to better conduct control policies of sexually transmitted diseases by providing subsidies in order to adapt the program to towns.Downloads
