THE DIMENSIONS OF THE READING FROM THE LIBRARY AND THE LIBRARIAN

Abstract

This research has as goal to analyze the dimension of the reading through the library and the librarian. Since it is known that both, the library and the librarian, contribute directly to the formation of readers. It will have as base the conception of many studious people as: Houaiss, Zilberman, Bamberger, Chartier, Abreu, Orlandi, Milanesi and others researchers who have already given great collaboration about the role of the library and the professions who are involved in it to make readers. This paper, with qualitative focus, does not have the intention to explore all the resources that refer to the role of the library and the librarian as well; however, it intends to bring out reflections about this place as a place of pleasure, information and where can be find new readers; this way the library is able to play its role as social institution which makes readers and assures them the access to the information and culture, that give to the people the right to read and consequently to become someone aware and more capable.
