QUALITATIVE APPROACH TO A RESEARCH ABOUT GEAOGRAPHY FIELD STUDY: CHALLENGES AND PERPECTIVES

Abstract

Geography is a science whose main goal is to read spatial reality, and from this reading, using the research and its theoretical body, move knowledge, contributing to the evolution of geographical science and society. To search in Geography is crucial in this route, the mastery of the method, theories, seeking always a dialogue theoretical and empirical. Thus, the trajectory of the researcher, their accumulated knowledge and its identity are important pieces that define and give color the "look" that hangs over this realitythe researcher has uneven chance to learn and to form new to know that they will contribute for the construction of its identity in the search for the knowledge.  The necessity to go beyond the simple diagnosis of the problems of the agricultural education is unquestionable, as the institution stands in the school challenge of educating the subjects in the field, observe school movement, which is the essence of the problems and point propositions. This article discusses the challenges of education and research, specifically in education Geography, as a result of the discussions made during the construction of the doctoral thesis about place and Geography teaching in/of field in Catalão/GO”. Having as objective to argue the qualitative research in education, in this article, the used methodology was bibliographical research on the subject, and the analyses point the qualitative and participant research as way to unmask the process of teach-learning of Geography in the field.
