OSTEOTOMIA DE NIVELAMENTO DO PLATÔ TIBIAL PARA O TRATAMENTO DA RUPTURA BILATERAL DO LIGAMENTO CRUZADO CRANIAL EM CÃO: RELATO DE CASO
Resumo
A Ruptura do ligamento cruzado cranial (RLCCr) é uma das enfermidades articulares mais comuns no cão e diversas são as técnicas cirúrgicas utilizadas para correção de sua instabilidade, porém nenhuma delas impede o desenvolvimento da doença articular degenerativa (DAD). Entretanto deve-se promover a estabilidade articular, garantindo qualidade de vida ao animal. A osteotomia de nivelamento do platô tibial (TPLO) é umas das técnicas mais utilizadas na atualidade e tem demonstrado melhores resultados quanto ao retorno funcional nos animais submetidos a este procedimento. O objetivo deste trabalho é avaliar o resultado da técnica de osteotomia de nivelamento do platô da tíbia (TPLO) em um cão com RLCCr bilateral.
