Vol 8 No 2 (2025): Journal of Legal Sciences

Continuing the editorial recovery process initiated in the first issue of 2025, the Journal of Legal Sciences of the State University of Maringá (RCJ-UEM) presents Volume 8, Issue 2, reaffirming its commitment to a four-month publication schedule and to academic excellence. This issue consolidates the institutional effort to rebuild and strengthen the journal, now fully reintegrated into the national scientific circuit, with original submissions evaluated by ad hoc peer reviewers in accordance with the most rigorous editorial standards.

The present issue brings together scientific articles and book reviews that engage with central questions of contemporary Law, especially those related to the protection of minorities, fundamental rights, and the interfaces between Law, the Applied Social Sciences, and the Humanities. The published texts reflect theoretical and methodological plurality, addressing current and socially relevant themes, and contributing to the critical deepening of legal debate and to the production of knowledge committed to social transformation.

By publishing Volume 8, Issue 2, RCJ-UEM reaffirms its historical mission of fostering high-quality academic research, valuing the scientific output of faculty members, researchers, and students from different institutions, both nationally and internationally. This edition also reinforces the journal’s alignment with its editorial guidelines, particularly in encouraging studies that promote the defense of human rights, social inclusion, and the strengthening of legal practices oriented toward justice and equity.

In this way, RCJ-UEM continues to consolidate its new editorial phase, honoring its trajectory initiated in 1997, preserving its academic memory, and projecting itself as a qualified and enduring space for critical reflection in the field of Legal Sciences.
