Focus and Scope
The journal publishes original articles in all areas of Agronomy, including soil sciences, agricultural entomology, soil fertility and manuring, soil physics, physiology of cultivated plants, phytopathology, phyto-health, phytotechny, genesis, morphology and soil classification, management and conservation of soil, integrated management of plant pests, vegetal improvement, agricultural microbiology, agricultural parasitology, production and processing of seeds.
Aims
To establish the public inscription of knowledge and its preservation; To publish results of research comprising ideas and new scientific suggestions; To publicize worldwide information and knowledge produced by the scientific community; To speech the process of scientific communication in Agronomy.
Peer Review Process
The policy of the Editorial board of Acta Scientiarum. Agronomy comprises the publication of original articles that may significantly have an impact on Agronomy field of knowledge. Only original articles shall be published. Publication of articles depends on the approval of the Editorial Board, base on peer reviews.
Guidelines for the evaluation of articles
1. Is the theme relevant and important to be published by the scientific journal?
2. Is it an original article?
3. Does the title clearly represents the contents of the article?
4. Are the layout, organization and length of the article satisfactory ?
5. Does the introduction review the theme and make clear the aims of the research ?
6. Is the item Materials and Methods sufficiently clear and allows the reproduction of the article ?
7. Is the discussion pertinent and sufficient ?
8. Do the data given justify the interpretation ?
9. Is there any need to add any item that would enrich the article?
10. Is it necessary to reduce or remove any part of the article ?
11. Are the illustrations and tables necessary and pertinent?
12. Are the figures illustrating and are they sufficiently sharp for reproduction?
13. Are the keywords adequate ?
14. Do the abstract give sufficient information on the research ?
15. Are the references adequate and necessary ?
16. Are the references listed according to the style sheet of the journal ?
17. Are all the authors cited listed in the reference section ?
18. Did you put any comments on the manuscript?
19. Ethical and Bio-security Information: - Does the research in the manuscript involve experimentation with humans, animals and bio-security, which requires analysis of its ethical implications? ( ) Yes ( ) No

Publication Frequency
Acta Scientiarum. Agronomy, ISSN 1679-9275 (print) and ISSN 1807-8621 (on-line) is published by the Maringá State University, in modality the continuous publication.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
