Abstract
This study aimed to evaluate the performance of the Butter Head/Boston lettuce culture, irrigated with fresh water (T1), wastewater from fish breeding (T2), wastewater from a stabilization pond of pig excrement (T3) and wastewater from a pond of seaweed culture fed with biodigestor residue (T4). The Tukey test was applied and it was observed that the plant dimensions of height, diameter of the head, length of the largest leaf, medium number of leaves per plant, the plant total and dry mass presented significant difference among the treatments, the largest values being found for T1 and the smallest ones for T3. The length and mass of the root, micronutrients and macronutrients constituent of the leaves did not present significant difference. The indexes found for fecal coliforms did not indicate lettuce contamination in none of the treatments. T2 did not present significant difference when compared with T1. Hence, this indicates that T2 can be used instead of T1.Downloads
