Abstract
This project was conducted with the objective of evaluating the performance of a disc plow as function of travel speed and horizontal disk angle characterized by the crop residue cover incorporation, random roughness, and medium geometric diameter. It was adopted a factorial type randomized complete block design for the statistical analysis of the experiment. The results showed that crop residue cover incorporation did not show any significant relation to the angle but there was an increase with the travel speed. The random roughness was only related to the angle, not to the travel speed, by increasing the angle there was an increase in the random roughness. An increase in travel speed and angle resulted in a reduction in the medium geometric diameter. The plow shows a satisfactory performance when compared with the literatureDownloads
