Model for the planning of irrigated coffee production. III Economic risk analysis of coffee production in two irrigation systems
Abstract
The present work had the objective to analyze economic risk of the irrigated coffee production in two farms: one in Araguari, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, that possesses a central pivot irrigation system of 98.4 ha, and the other in Lavras, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, with a drip-irrigation system of 13.5 ha. The analyses were carried out in an economic risk analysis model applied to the planning of irrigation projects for coffee plantation. Three technological packages (40, 60 and 80 bags.ha-1) and six types of annual irrigation handling were analyzed. The obtained results allowed to verify that the services (40.7% to 60.4%) and the materials (15.3% to 34.3%) were the most significant items in the total cost. The costs with energy and water were not larger than 5.0%; the mean costs with the irrigation system were between 10.3% and 29.7% for the drip one and between 7.0% and 19.4% for the central pivot one.Downloads
