Counter-flow cooling simulation model for agricultural products
Abstract
Counter-flow cooling of agricultural products dried in high-temperature grain dryers have being left aside, although technically and economically advantageous. The main reason is the lack of experiments based on simulation, which can produce results in short periods of time with small financial investments. The MSU counter-flow cooling model, the most complete model currently available, has logarithmic positive solution, which makes it difficult to be obtained. New demonstration of the model resulted in another with logarithmic negative solution, which ensures the convergence to it. After optimization of this new model in each drying system it is used, not only counter-flow cooling may be done, but also pre-heating and drying can be estimatedDownloads
