Abstract
The objective of this study was to characterize statistically the properties bulk density of soil, density of particles, total porosity, micro porosity, macro porosity and saturated hydraulic conductivity based on the verification of the adjustment of a series of data to the statistical distribution, aiming to indicate the best representation form and values to be adopted for these variables, so that they can be used in operations of agricultural practices. The studied area is part of the Experimental Station of IAC, in Piracicaba , Estado de São Paulo; and the soil is an oxisol, texture sandy clay. We can be conclude that outliers values were not detected and that the variables in study can be represented by the normal probability density function (Distribution of Gauss), using their parameters for their representations, except for the saturated hydraulic conductivity variable, which cannot be described by the normal probability density function and, therefore, considering this function usually distributed can lead to erroneous conclusions.Downloads
