Model for the planning of irrigated coffee production. I. simulation of water budget and of the cost with water in irrigation - DOI: 10.4025/actasciagron.v25i1.2455
Abstract
After a preliminary analysis of the climatological water budget simulation for coffee plantation which is irrigated under different handling conditions, the present work has evaluated the production costs with energy and water to proceed irrigations of coffee plantation in two farms which are located in “Cerrado’, in Minas Gerais State. All the analyses were accomplished with an economic risk analysis model applied to the planning of irrigation projects for coffee plantation. The model simulated and chose appropriately the best alternative of energy to be used in the farms. The analyses showed that the use of conventional tariff, diesel system, low potency factor (cos ϕ = 0,7) and the absence of night irrigation were onerous and unfavorable. Expenses with water for irrigation are shown, in certain situations, equivalent to the current expenses with electric energy to proceed irrigation.Downloads
