Qualitative characteristics of rice genotype grain (<em>Oryza sativa</em> L.) submitted to supplementary irrigation
Abstract
This study evaluates grain quality of eight rice genotypes (Oryza sativa L.) cultivated under supplementary irrigation in 1994/95 and 1995/96 agricultural years, in Londrina, state of Paraná. The investigation verified that the genotypes produced long grains whose processing resulted in a low whole grain rate in the 1994/95 agricultural crop and in a median whole grain rate in 1995/96, showing a high water absorption and volume increase capacity suitable for both in natura consumption and industrialization. Genotypes L 92-126, L 92-124 and C 6-53 showed the best grain qualitative characteristics.Downloads
