Rooting of softwood cuttings of IAC 572 ‘Jales’ and IAC 766 ‘Campinas’ rootstocks in nebulization chambers - DOI: 10.4025/actasciagron.v28i4.760
Abstract
The aim of this work was to evaluate rooting of different cutting kinds (with one leaf, with a leaf cut in a half and without any leaf) in two vine rootstocks IAC 572 ‘Jales’ and IAC 766 ‘Campinas’ in carbonized rice hull substrate, in a nebulization chamber. The experimental design used was entirely randomized, with five replications in a 3x2 factorial arrangement, each parcel containing 10 cuttings. Twenty eight days after staking, the results showed that: a) rootstock ‘Campinas’ is superior to ‘Jales’ in relation to rooting percentage when propagated by herbaceous cuttings with one leaf; b) herbaceous cuttings with one leaf and with one leaf cut in a half are the most recommendable for both rootstocks, for propagation under nebulization; c) the maintenance of leaves during the multiplication of these rootstocks herbaceous cuttings is fundamental for the development of adventitious roots.Downloads
