Abstract

The aim of this paper is to survey the study of a forest fragment of São Pedro´s farm (21º 02’ 34” S e 49º 22’38” W) with 3 ha, located in Potirendaba municipality in the northwest of São Paulo State. The flora was surveyed from January 1999 to January 2000. A number of 79 species was identified, distributed into 69 genera and 31 families. The families with the highest number of species were the Leguminosae (9), the Asteraceae (7), the Rubiaceae (7), the Bignoniaceae (6) and the Apocynaceae (5). The flora survey of trees and shrub species revealed the presence of 18 pioneer species, 16 early secondary, 18 late secondary and three uncharacterized species. The forest fragment is in a secondary succession stage

Possui graduação em Ciências Biológicas - Pontífica Universidade Católica de Campinas (1988), mestrado em Biologia Vegetal pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1992) e doutorado em Biologia Vegetal pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1996). Atualmente é Professora e Coordenadora do Curso de Ciências Biológicas do Centro Universitário de Rio Preto. Tem experiência na área de Botânica, com ênfase em Florística, Fitossociologia e Arborização Urbana Currículo Lattes
