Abstract
This study has as objective to apprehend social representations elaborated by nine nurses, fifty-four health agents and seventy-five families about Family Health Program (FHP) in a coastline municipal, sited 29km far from Fortaleza, state of Ceará, Brazil. Study with theoretical axis in theory of social representations. The data were collected in health centers in the main place, countryside areas and with families. We used direct observation and semi-structured interview. The data were submitted to the technique of content analysis. The results showed socially elaborated knowledge by nurses and health agents about the Family Health Program, with favorably positions, representing it as a community attending space, favoring a more accurate communication from team work. Nevertheless, the families build negative social representations, showing lack of information about the FHP expression. The dimension of information to the families seems to be attached to fewer media divulgence, lack of answers to the needs of the population, to the self-praxis of FHP that turns to an individual and focused attendance, excluding in part the family as subject of its living.Downloads
