Abstract
The health communitarian agents are in permanent contact with the community, connecting two different culture universes, the scientific one and the popular one, helping in vigilance work and health promotion. The aim of the research is to identify if the population care for the health communitary agents program, recognize the role and the importance of health communitary agents activity and if they are satisfied with their job. A description research was carried out with the sample of 180 families cared for health communitary agent programm in Anastácio city, state of Mato Grosso do Sul in 2002. The families cared for health comunitary agents recognize the link between the comunity and health services and they are satisfied with the job. Concerning the action, the role´s performance is suitable and recognized as an element that makes easy the relationship between individuals-families-community and the local health system.Downloads
