Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The authors are aware of the rules of the Section to which their work is being submitted. The regular section is Research Articles, and the others are for Monographs or Special Issues.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements
  • To indicate the name of the Editor  for handling the manuscript.
  • All authors should be listed with the ORCID iDs  be assigned by the ORCID Registry. Must conform to their standards for expressing ORCID iDs, and include the full URI (eg. http://orcid.org/0000-0002-1825-0097).
  • I will briefly describe in the Comments for the Editor section below why I chose the above Section to submit my work.

Author Guidelines

The BSPM publishes original high level papers in all branches of Mathematics. The new administration board of BSPM is intending to guarantee publication within one year after the paper has been accepted. Articles should represent a significant advance in Mathematics. Minor improvements of former work shall not be considered.

It is considered for submission articles of the following types: expository papers, research articles, notes and essay reviews.

Open Access Policy

The BSPM is published under Open Access and is free to read and download, in addition to copying and disseminating in accordance with the  Creative Common Attribution (CC-BY 4.0).

Free to send / no publication APC

The BSPM is free of any publication charge.

However, we are encouraging authors who have accepted articles to make a small donation to pay the DOI of articles accepted for publication and the annual fee from CrossRef.

 

Publication Ethics

The BSPM use the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines for best practices in publishing. The authors/reviewers are indicated to use. 

  • This journal uses the Crossref Similarity Check for plagiarism detection.

Funders name

Articles that have received resources from Funders, should communicate the funder name and grant number on the information to editors and the acknowledgments to paper. (at the Funding data and add Funder names/grant number).

Submission of a manuscript implies that

The manuscript described has not been published before;

The manuscript is not under consideration for publication elsewhere;

The manuscript after prior acceptance by editors-in-chief, assistants and editorial board, is sent for a double-blind peer review process; and 

When the manuscript is accepted for publication, the authors agree automatically to transfer the copyright to the publisher.

Authors ID

All authors should be listed with the ORCID iDs be assigned by the ORCID Registry. Must conform to their standards for expressing ORCID iDs, and include the full URI

(eg. http://orcid.org/0000-0002-1825-0097).

Style Guide

The BSPM uses the American Mathematical Society (AMS) Style Guide Journals for the articles.

The BSPM uses Centralized Manuscript Processing for initial submissions. Articles should have at most 30 pages, exceptionally longer works can also be considered. The articles can be written in English, Portuguese, Spanish or French. The preferred method of submission is to upload a PDF file using the Initial Manuscript Submission form.

However, printed copies (in triplicate) can be submitted to the journal's address.

Each article must include an abstract written in English language of at most 150 words, an introduction that conveys even to the non-expert the main themes under discussion, a list of keywords, and the Mathematics Subject Classification AMS 2000. After acceptance for publication, the authors will be asked to send a LaTeX version of the article.

If a paper copy is being uploaded to the BSPM's office, the following information is required with the submission:

- Name of the corresponding author

- Contact information including email address and mailing address

- The author should suggest an appropriate Editor to review the paper; if the author cannot determine the appropriate editor, they should submit the paper to the Editor in Chief.

- The authors´ shuoud indicate the Funders name of your research when convenient at the knowledgements.

References

This journal uses the reference style from American Mathematical Society (AMS), namely American Mathematical Society Citation Style. 

Subscriptions: The BSPM is an organ of the Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática (SPM), sponsored by the Department of Mathematics of the Estadual University of Maringá. The SPM is a civil group, helded in Maringá, in the Paraná State, founded in 31/10/1953. Subscriptions and back issues should be addressed to the: Departmento de Matemática da Universidade Estadual de Maringá, Bloco F-67, sala 221, 87020-900, Maringá, PR, Brasil. All rights reserved to Sociedade Paranaese de Matemática.

The BSPM is reviewed by Mathematical Reviews, MathSci and Current Math Publications.

 

Crossmark corrections and retractions

The BSPM utilize the Crossmark service from corrections and retractions and the current status/version of the content, and additional information. Clicking on the Crossmark logo/button in this content displays the version after the publication, the articles/essays updated with supplementary data.

The Crossmark is utilized to update information and/or additional information, with: authors´ ORCID IDs, licenses, funding information, and others.

Research Articles

Articles can be submitted directly to any member of the Editorial Board. The BSPM welcomes electronic submissions. Monograph Series of the Parana’s Mathematical Society

Monograph Series of the Parana's Mahtematical Society is published once a year by the Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática. Individual readers of this publication, and nonprofit libraries acting for them, are permitted to make fair use of the material, such as to copy an article for use in teaching or research. Permission is granted to quote brief passages from this publication in reviews, provided the customary acknowledgment of the source is given.

Republication, systematic copying, or multiple reproduction of any material in this publication is permitted only under licence from the Sociedade Paranaense de Matemática.
