Spacial Dinamic of hydrology of River Basin Ivaí

Abstract

This paper is about the behavior and spatial distribution of the liquid discharge of the Ivaí River Basin, based in very heterogeneous and incomplete historical series acquired from the Superintendência de Desenvolvimento de Recursos Hídricos e Saneamento Ambiental - SUDERHSA. In the period of 1974 to 2007 the Ivaí river had an average flow of 689m³s^-1 for drained area of 36.587km². The specific discharge (Qm: Area) varied between 0.01 and 0.02 with a maximum of 0.11. Most of the water that enters the main channel doesn't came from the main tributaries (as the Alonzo, Corumbataí, Mourão, Antas, Índios and Ligeiro rivers), but from smaller sub-basins (<500km²). The specific flow of the tributaries of Ivaí decreases from upstream to downstream from 0.028 to 0.015 m³ano^-1km^-2
