Abstract

This work intends to present an analysis under the importance of the use of oral history as methodological procedure in a search when the matter raised leads us to try to understand and practical way empirical facts occurred in previous seasons involving as main agents "people". When we talk about facts and persons as central themes of a search we must not forget that we need a balance between what is reported and what has happened in fact. This analysis was important for the development of research carried out for drawing up the master's thesis along the Program of Post-Graduation in Geography in Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM). The research had as main theme of the dissertation the changes in farm the sun during the 1960, 1970.1980 and 1990. The work involved not only economic interests in the local, regional and national level, but also caused profound changes in life of people that dwelt in the municipality in time. Therefore, to understand what happened in this area and with their inhabitants we highlight the importance of oral history as procedure methodological, covering the reports, photographs, documents and other. We appreciate each fact or given submitted for the development of research.
