The Program Minha Casa Minha Vida on dissertations and thesis of the post-graduate programs in Geography in Brazil (2013-2020)

Abstract

The expressive performance of the PMCMV in Brazil influenced several scientific productions, mainly in the scope of dissertations and thesis. Different sciences of scientific thinking in Brazil have produced research focused on the PMCMV and its repercussions, especially geographic science. In this sense, this article seeks to analyze the geographic production on the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program (PMCMV), based on the dissertations and thesis of Post-Graduate Programs (PPGs) in Geography in Brazil, from 2013 to 2020. The methodological course was carried out through a set of instruments, highlighting the bibliographic research and the "state of the art". Most of the researchers found discuss the empirical realities of the Southeast and Northeast regions of the country, covering 29 universities. The geographic concepts most analized were space and territory. It was identified that the discussions were mostly gathered around themes such as Level 1 of this program, urban insertion of built projects, socio-spatial segregation, real estate market and urban expansion. Thus, it can be verified that the production on the PMCMV in the geographic scope is expressive in terms of quantitative research, although it is possible to identify gaps that could be developed in future research on the program, such as socio-environmental impacts, migrations and gender.
