Carmen Miranda e os good neighbours
Abstract
O presente artigo tem por objeto de análise os filmes de Carmen Miranda produzidos pela 20th. Century Fox durante a Política de Boa Vizinhança, mais exatamente após a criação do Office of Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs (agosto de 1940). O exame destas películas objetiva entender de que maneira as personagens interpretadas pela referida artista e os filmes musicais norte-americanos contribuíram, nos anos 1940, para a difusão da tradição pan-americana, promovendo uma aproximação subordinada da América Latina com os Estados Unidos. Abstract. This article has its focus on the analisys of the Carmen Miranda`s film features, produced by 20th.Century Fox Films, during the time of the Inter-American Policy ( Política de Boa Vizinhança), mainly after the creation of the Office of Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs , in august of 1940. The study of these features aims the comprehension of how the characters represented by this artist had contributed, in the forties, for the "panamerican tradition" diffusion, promoting a Latin America´s subordinated liaison with the United States of America.Downloads
