Este artigo pretende apresentar a relação entre a formação do Regime Taliban e os interesses estratégicos na Ásia Central e, assim, demonstrar o quanto a retórica da luta anti-terrorismo em nome dos valores democráticos é, na verdade, contra os seus verdadeiros princípios nos tempos atuais.
