Múltiplos usos de espécie vegetais pela farmacologia Guarani através de informações históricas
Abstract
A pesquisa histórica pode desempenhar um importante papel no desenvolvimento de estudos de etnofarmacologia, ampliando a capacidade de coleta de dados sobre as plantas empregadas como remédios, bem como os métodos curativos e os seus significados. Também amplia a capacidade de compreensão sincrônica e diacrônica dos contextos em que essas plantas eram utilizadas, indo além das perspectivas atemporais da abordagem etnográfica. Apresentamos neste trabalho o exemplo de uma pesquisa feita na imensa documentação histórica sobre os guarani, apresentando informações sobre 151 espécies vegetais. Historical research can perform an important role in the development of ethnopharmacological studies expanding the collecting capacity of data about plants used as medicine, their treatment methods and meanings. It also broadens the synchronic and diachronic comprehension capacity of the contexts in which these plants are used, going beyond the atemporal perspectives of the ethnographic approach. This work reports a research carried out with a bulky historical documentation on the Guarani people offering information on 151 vegetal species.Downloads
