La historiografía de los derechos humanos en Chile: memorias y testimonios historiográficos del régimen militar
Abstract
Desde o ano de 1990 e no contexto do fim do governo militar, personagens tão conhecidas como o Cardeal Raúl Silva Henriquez ou o escritor Adolfo Cozzi escreveram livros, memórias, coleções de poesias e libretos de teatro sobre os anos anteriores. Para muitos, estes escritos se constituíram na historiografia de um Chile que não se conhecia na história oficial. No entanto estes escritos, do gênero testemunhal, constituem para outros uma invenção subjetiva de uma realidade literária que não reflete a realidade social, portanto não é história. Este ensaio analisa alguns dos escritos, incluindo as Memórias do Cardeal Silva Henriquez, no contexto do debate pós-modernista sobre a objetividade, a refexividade pessoal e a construção social da história. As conclusões sugerem que o gênero testemunhal deve ser considerado como uma ferramenta para a construção da história. Deste ponto de vista, não é possível construir a história do Chile somente através de manuscritos, arquivos e cartas. No contexto da história dos direitos humanos, testemunhos, monumentos e até canções constituem uma chave paradigmática para a construção de uma história solidária do ponto de vista dos oprimidos e dos jovens. Abstract. This paper explores the historiography of the first period of the Chilean military regime of Augusto Pinochet (1973-1980) through personal writings. This kind of writing projects involved participants of the period that published their own experiences and political assessments abroad while on exile, or made the point of contributing to the memory of the period by publishing them after the advent of Chilean democracy in 1990.Within Chile such books were sold on the streets by vendors who as soon as the police appeared vanished. Many Chileans called them libros buenos (good, interesting books) because as readers they longed to know what happened within a period in which government censorship impeded their publication. Some of them such as El libro Negro de la justicia chilena were censored during the democracies of the 1990s in Chile.This paper argues that such variety of writings is part of the history of Chile and the assessment of their facts, opinions and contents is necessary in order to understand the period of the military in Chile.
