Abstract

The growing technological advance towards the reproduction of cognitive abilities, which previously constituted a comparative advantage for humans over machines, allowed us to question the implications of this evolution. In this sense, the present work aims at analyzing the effects caused by the process of intensifying the use of innovations in economic production, more specifically the scenarios generated through the insertion of modern forms of automation in the service sector. For that, the study uses a qualitative approach of exploratory nature reviewing the literature on this subject. In this way, it analyses the available literature about the effects of automation on employment, as well as identifies the conclusions of studies previously carried out on the topic addressed.
