QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE DIAGNOSIS OF THE URBAN ARBORIZATION FROM THE USE OF STREET VIEW TOOL

Abstract
The road arborization is paramount to urban quality ecological, whose importance is related to the role chemistry, physics, landscape, psychological, ecological, pedological, hydrological, and atmospheric acoustics. However, trees in cities live with pressures biological, physical and chemical and allied to the indifference of the public result in the compromise of its quantity and quality. In this context, the diagnosis of afforestation is of fundamental importance to the municipal public management and new analysis tools should be used. This time, the present study has had the objective of developing a qualiquantitative diagnosis of the road afforestation from the use of Street View tool. The study site was the Avenue da Cunha in Maringá, State of Paraná, southern Brazil. The methodological procedures comprised three phases: site characterization study, description and survey tool used qualiquantitativo. The results showed that in the study area there are 132 individual trees, with a predominance of species Sibipiruna (Caesalpinia peltophoroides.) and Flamboyant (Delonix regia Raf.). The tool Street View shown to be effective for identifying the status of the tree grid, before trimming and handling system, but deficiencies have been identified with regard to diagnosis of the root system.Downloads
