GNUTECA SYSTEM: INTERDISCIPLINARY POSSIBILITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

This article is the result of research on the Gnuteca system as interdisciplinary opportunity in higher education. The research goal is constituted to examine the use of new technologies as a means of integration in the learning process, specifically the Software Gnuteca. It was a qualitative study, and is configured as a case study, performed at the State University of Goiás / campus Itapuranga. For data collection were used 46 questionnaires, containing essay questions for students of 4th year of writing courses, History, Geography and Biological Sciences, Coordinator of the courses, Librarian and six teachers. According to the results, the Gnuteca software does not allow communication "synchronous" or "asynchronous" over the network between library and academic community and can not be considered a tool that creates interdisciplinary opportunity in higher education.
