ELEMENTS FOR ANALYSIS OF THE RELATION OF CITY AND REGION: STUDY OF CASE OF A SMALL CITY IN A POSITION OF CONTACT BETWEEN TWO MÉDIUM-SIZED CITIES OF MINAS GERAIS

Abstract

The small cities, for the most part, are not enough, developing relations with other centers to complete the demands of the city. From the rise of médium-sized cities while links in urban networks, these are largely responsible for small cities of immediate space. This fact makes it necessary to analysis of interurban relations for the understanding of the small cities; sought to rescue the geographic position analysis of Teixeiras-MG: a small city located between two medium-sized cities, Viçosa and Ponte Nova.
