Abstract

Over the decades the garbage issue has become a global issue, because it is one of the biggest aggression to the water table, visual pollution, air pollution. The problem of garbage and its disposal are not only from Brazil, but all over the planet, due to serious problems that affect everyone. There are still no ways for garbage production to be minimized to the extreme because it is present daily in our lives. Nowadays, the main concern with solid waste, commonly called garbage. They cause concerns about contamination of soil, water, bad smell that spreads through the air, pollution of natural landscapes with accumulation of garbage in undue places. Given the above, this article is intended to draw the reader's' attention to the consequences caused by poor management of the destination of municipal solid waste, In order to propose alternatives to minimize the damages caused to the environment due to the lack of adequate waste disposal.
