DECENTRALIZATION OF COMMERCE AND SERVICES IN MARINGÁ, PARANÁ: THE CONSOLIDATION OF SUB-CENTER MANDACARU
Abstract
This article is the end result of a scientific initiation research developed between the years of 2012-2013, where his studied the specifics of tertiary sector at AV. Mandacaru in Maringá-PR. The high price of urban land use in the central area of cities causes the tertiary sector to expand to the periphery. Requirements such as infrastructure, public transportation, population concentration, locational amenities, among others, are factors that contribute to the formation of sub-centers. Thus, by means of field survey and questionnaires, we identified the types of land use and the spatial distribution of the phenomena. Therefore, the field survey gave support to determine the beginning and end of the Sub-center Mandacaru and demonstrate that the tertiary sector supplies the basic demands of the local population.
