Abstract

The north center of Paraná is marked by great geomorphological and geomorphological geodiversity, being located in a border area of plateau which marks the transition from the Second to the Third Paranaense Plateau. In this area rocks dating from the Paleozoic to the Mesozoic arise, which structure the geomorphological surfaces of the area, as well as their geoforms. In order to recognize the lithological context of the study area and the possible structural differences, the present article aims to characterize and analyze the geology, based on geological data from tabular wells, which were provided by the Paraná Water Institute. The methodology consisted in the selection of 14 tabular wells identified in the study area, these being plotted on the geological map, with the purpose of recognizing the location of each point and verifying if the data described in the report coincided with the mapping. Subsequently, topographic profiles were drawn with stratigraphic subsurface information, and the geological structuring was analyzed by single profiles and by section, which provided the graphic visualization of subsurface, facilitating the understanding of the geological context of the area.
