THE INFLUENCE OF THE CRISIS OF AN AGROINDUSTRY ON THE SOCIOECONOMIC CONTEXT OF DEPENDENCE IN NOVA AMERICA DA COLINA (PR)

Abstract

The economic sector is relevant in today's society. Nevertheless, it is essential to think about this bias associated directly with the social approach. In this sense, this paper, linked to Economic Geography, has as its central objective the comprehension of the socioeconomic question in the municipality of Nova América da Colina, located in the Pioneer North of Paraná State, especially from the serious economic crisis of a distillery, which since its inception it concentrated a large part of the socioeconomic significance of the locality. In the addition, the specific objectives are: to present the socioeconomic relevance of the industry; demonstrate local reality before and after layoffs; and discuss about the future perspective of local reality. For this, we used the following methodological procedures: bibliographic and data collection of the municipality, fieldwork and preparation of the final writing of this paper. The fact that the industry is a highly employable company in Nova América da Colina has made it very important for workers and traders. Faced with layoffs, jobs and incomes no longer exist, generating an avalanche of socioeconomic problems, such as unemployment and closing of trades and services.
