RURAL WORLD, WAY OF LIFE AND THE MEMORIES OF THE WORKING PROCESS IN FLOUR HOUSES
Abstract
This communication aims to describe the way of life and the memories of the work process men and women from the countryside, flour workers from the Piperado do Peri Peri, located in the municipality of Belo Campo (BA), a location that traditionally stands out for the presence of Casas Flour and production of cassava derivatives. From a methodological point of view, the research adopts a qualitative approach, using bibliographic and documentary sources, conducting observations and interviews with workers, as well as representative photographs of the place. In this way, the empiry also sought to dialogue with some theoretical contributions, among them, Thompson (1998; 1981), Kosik (1976) and Wanderley (2009). It was found that the way of life suffers from external influences and contributions to his daily life and has been changing over time, but still preserves singularities that are his own and come from those inherited from previous generations.
