SCHOOL GEPGRAPHY AND PEDAGOGICAL TOURISM AS A TEACHING METHOD: A PROPOSED SCREENPLAY FOR THE CITY OF SANTA MARIANA-PR

Abstract

Teaching Geography means enabling the student to reason geographically the terrestrial space at different scales. In this sense, it is necessary to differentiate the pedagogical practices in Geography classes, starting with the use of different languages ​​and teaching methods. Thus, this research aimed to discuss School Geography and Pedagogical Tourism as a method of teaching Geography. In particular, to propose educational tourism itineraries for the municipality of Santa Mariana-PR. the methodological path included the study of bibliographies referring to the Teaching of Geography and Pedagogical Tourism; fieldwork in the second half of 2019; survey of general information with public agencies, websites and owners about the places visited in the field work and, finally, the elaboration of Pedagogical Tourism itineraries. Two Pedagogical Tourism itineraries were elaborated for the municipality of Santa Mariana-PR, one for Cachaça Bassi and the other for Fazenda Palmeira, they can be used as a method of teaching geographic content, but specifically in the study of themes linked to rural space and agricultural production.
