GEOGRAFIA DA SAÚDE: UMA ABORDAGEM GEOGRÁFICA DA DENGUE NO MUNICIPIO DE ABATIÁ-PR NO ANO DE 2019

Abstract

The study in question has as general objective to address the environmental problems related to the dengue epidemic in the municipality of Abatiá-PR. To this end, the main factors linked to society and the environment driving the dengue epidemic in the municipality in 2019 are raised. Methodologically, the research was guided in the steps: I) data collection; II) data spatialization; III) field work and actions aimed at environmental education. To this end, we highlight the use of Google for Education tools, such as Google Maps and Google Sites. Based on the diagnosis of the epidemic, a virtual booklet on Environmental Education was created, containing instructions on sustainable environmental practices that are suitable for controlling the proliferation of Aedes aegipt. The results showed that, as in large urban centers, in the municipality of Abatiá-PR, the dengue epidemic in 2019 had a strong relationship with urban environmental impacts, mainly related to the incorrect destination of solid waste.
