PUBLIC HEALTH POLICIES: DEVELOPMENT OR RETROGRESSION?
Abstract
The present study is an evaluation of public policies introduced in the health sector in the segment of SIDA which, has historically had the support of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) with the government, both in prevention the population of risk, as supporting treatment to people living and living with AIDS. In this way the civil society was also a partner in intermunicipal associations and consortia, as always agreed to its actions on a regional scale. From theoretical framework on power relations and qualitative research experience of the nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) of Maringá it's possible to identify the impacts occurring in the sector, especially from the "Pact on Health", adopted as public policy since 2006 and future prospects for this segment.
