THE ISSUE AND THE NEW SPACE PERIURBAN OPPORTUNITIES THE METROPOLITAN REGION OF REEF: THE CASE OF VILLAGE (CAMARAGIBE/ PE)

Abstract

The resulting new spatiality of capitalist production process in cities have led to substantial changes in form and function of contemporary metropolises. Be the advancement of urbanization that invades the traditionally rural areas or the economic transformations that occur as new logical relation to rural land that promote new job opportunities thereby attracting a range of workers in search of opportunities that this "new" city is offering. This work is part of this author Dissertation submitted to the Graduate Program in Geography, Federal University of Pernambuco, entitled Dynamic periurbanization rural urban fringe in the Aldeia. Thus, this article seeks to present the comments identified in the field and demonstrate how the Village has been presented as a new space for new opportunities in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. The formation of this window of opportunity is the result of a dynamic periurbanization that installs in the Village over the past decades and that attracts the middle class in search of unique places of residence. The appreciation of the countryside has led the middle class Recife to move to locations surrounding the RMR, among them the Village, and this movement creates job opportunities. The fixing of the richest village eventually also attract a population of workers coming mainly from the Zona da Mata in search of opportunities for enterprises that have come to the first bid. For this study were conducted 104 interviews with workers in locus of formal Village condominiums. This procedure required the use of questionnaires and conducting open interviews being of fundamental importance to achieve the results presented.
