CHARACTERIZATION OF SUBCENTER: THE CASE OF PEDRO TAQUES AVENUE - MARINGÁ-PR

Abstract

The following article has as its main aim the characterization and encompassing of Pedro Taques Avenue, located in the city of Maringá, State of Paraná, Brazil, as urban subcenter, by identifying its types of soil and how its spatial distribution occurs. In order to achieve this aim, bibliographical and field researches were carried out in order identify the uses for the soil present in the area, as well as data research at the Town Hall. After the data collection, we traced the profile of the Pedro Taques Avenue and through this research we confirmed its role as a subcenter.
