PRODUCTION OF SPACE AND POWER RELATIONS IN JURANDA - PR

Abstract

The present study has like god to investigate how occurred the process of occupation, the production of space and power relations in borough of Juranda - PR. So to discover out the reasons for the outflow of population, lack of employment and bad income distribution, through the accumulation of wealth and the concentration of power in the hands of a few. The research was realize in four stages: the first consisted in conducting theoretical, the second in the preparation of a photographic archive, the third in obtaining indirect of data (IBGE, IPARDES) and the fourth step in conducting open interviews and semi-structured . The interviews were, like based on the methodology of the geographer Marcia da Silva, this method oriented analysis of local power and as such establish social relations. Being that through this research it was possible to identify the influential biggest people in the borough and who holds the political and economic power, beyond of understand of that way the production of space came to influence the living conditions of population.
