Abstract
Dengue is currently a major public health problem in Brazil, although the records are from the disease 19th century, it was only in 1980 the first epidemic occurred. From that decade forward, there was a significant increase in the incidence of Aedes aegypti in the mosquito that transmits the national territory. In this sense, the objective of de research is to analyze the relationship between the occurrence of dengue cases and the conditions of atmospheric time in the 2006 to 2010 in the city of Campo Mourão-PR, aim of this research is to identify the main socio-environmental factors that were responsible for dengue epidemic in the urban area of the city council of Campo Mourão-PR, in the year 2010. For the development of the research, the Department of Health of the city provided the data concerning the notifications of dengue and the INMET/BDMEP the weather data. From these data, all the information was correlated to investigate if there was any relationship between the atmospheric weather conditions and the increase in notifications of dengue. In addition to these, it was emphasized the socio-environmental conditions as well as the cultural ones and the public policies directed to the epidemiological sector. Based on the analysis, it was found that the increase in notifications of dengue was partially related to periods of higher rainfall and as a result, elevated temperatures. It is believed that a cut-off point of temperature and precipitation minimum, capable of reducing the proliferation of the vector, which in a linear correlation. The increase in the occurrences of dengue is due to other causes, such as the number of people infected and the ability of proliferation of the virus. Linked to this, there is the performance of the sector operations in epidemiological surveillance programs for vector control.Downloads
