THE INTERFACES IN THE USE OF PUBLIC HEALTHCARE NETWORK OF JARAGUÁ DO SUL-SC

Abstract

This work has as objective to understand the causes of amount of people waiting for specializedconsultations of the public healthcare in Jaraguá do Sul, in the period between 2011 to 2015. Weaimed to characterize the public healthcare in the city. Firstly it was made a bibliographic researchto gather a brief history of healthcare, since the revolt of the vaccine until after the deployment ofthe SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde). The data presented in this research about the public healthcare establishments wereobtained through the Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimento de Saúde (CNES). It was appliedquestionnaires to some users of basic healthcare units (BHU) and some officials were interviewed.Tables and graphic were made for a better visualization of the data, that was discussed to formulatean answer to the question of this research issue. Through the obtained data, it was possible to realize the public healthcare problems in Jaraguá doSul, part of it is due to the lack of doctors in the Equipe da Saúde da Família (ESF) and inadequate geographicaldistribution of basic healthcare units by city. The BHUs are with a good infrastructure, becausemany of them were recently renovated or are newly-built. However, what is need besides thereforms, is an expansion and hiring of news professionals.
