Abstract
The dengue fever is one of the most worrying viral disease transmitted by arthropods nowadays. Thus, this article aims at assessing the spacial distribution and the seasonality of confirmed cases of dengue fever, both indigenous and imported, and at characterizing the occurrences according to climatic seasonality in the urban area of Campo Morão, Paraná, in 2013. To do so, it was necessary to research epidemiological reports of dengue fever held by the Secretaria de Saúde do Município de Campo Mourão, showing year 2013 as its time record, thus classifying dengue an epidemy in that period. Having collected the data, tables, graphics and maps were produced to better understand the spacial spreading and geographical distribution of the confirmed cases. Temperature, rainfall, humidity and sunlight were considered in the climatic approach. This data was acquired from Instituto Nacional de Meteorologia/INMET. After that, the epidemiological and meteorological data were compared, considering the warmest period - december to march, summer months in the South Hemisphere. However, due to the big amount of confirmed cases in the summer season, it was unexpected that cases were also registered in autumn, especially in April. On the other hand, by winter, the cases declined. It is possible to conclude that the confirmed cases of the dengue fever are directly related to a variety of factors, of which we highlight the rhythm and habitual weather conditions, means of transmission of the vector and different environments where the Aedes aegypti grows and develops.Downloads
