Abstract
This research is based on a preliminary investigation of the level of environmental preservation of the bed and the banks of the Barreiro stream, with the objective of establishing the quality of the waters and environmental impact caused by the anthropological actions. The object of study is a 2nd-order stream, and an important tributary of the Meia Ponte River, located in an urban context in the southeastern region of Goiania-GO. The Meia Ponte River is an important water resource in the state of Goias, and the quality of its waters is a matter of great concern to the population and the public administration. In order for the waters of a watercourse to be 'cured', it is necessary to take into account the whole watershed composed of several tributaries. The method of the study used was the visual analysis of the landscape disseminated by Gordon Cullen named Serial Vision. It was verified through the survey that the Barreiro stream has three distinct stretches with different typologies and impacts along itscourse of 7.3 kilometers, remaining mostly with its clean waters and its preserved margins, receiving at a certain point a tributary with waters polluted.Downloads
