PUBLIC POLICIES BACK TO URBAN MOBILITY: CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING THE BICYCLE PATHS NETWORK OF MARINGÁ-PR

Abstract
The perspective of this article is to diagnose the geographic and cultural aspects involving the urban mobility with bicycles in the municipality of Maringá-PR. In this aspect, it is sought to signal awareness policies and changes in infrastructure in order to make feasible the use of this means of transport and, thus, improve the conditions in the urban displacements. It is also a criticism of the predominance of cars, as cities based on this urban model are more costly and environmentally polluted. It will also be investigated the historical moment in which the preference for individual motorized transportation was consolidated, to the detriment of the others, since the city already had another portrait in these aspects. The methodology adopted in the research has a multidimensional character involving the crossing of sources from statistical data collection, documentary research, bibliographical survey, comparative analysis and semi-directed interviews with local cyclists, in order to extract qualitative information from the deponents. It will be approached the right to the urban environment, since it is understood that the predominance of the motorized modals in the roads makes it impossible for the cyclist to his "right to the city", therefore, it is necessary to re-signify it.Downloads
