ASPECTOS DA DINÂMICA CLIMÁTICA DE ALTAMIRA-PA

Abstract

This article deals with the climatic dynamics of Altamira-PA and the most important factors to determine the thermo-hygrometric and, consequently, pluviometric behavior. For this, climatic data from different sources are used. It was found that the city of Altamira-PA fits into the equatorial climate with subseca, with a strong influence of the Continental Equatorial Mass (CEM) and by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) that potentiates the rainfall offer during the austral summer. The Equatorial Atlantic Mass (EAM), in turn, has more effect during the southern winter with reduced rainfall and increased air temperature averages.
