ENSAIO ACERCA DE AMÁLIA RODRIGUES, O FADO E O TURISMO
Abstract
This essay aims to reflect on the centenary of fado singer Amália Rodrigues and her contributions so that this Portuguese sound art could reach all continents of the world and become one of the main tourist assets in Portugal. Given the interest in the theme of Amalian centenary, this work was prepared according to the qualitative method by mainly privileging the theoretical details of physical and electronic works, bringing reflections on fado as a cultural and international mark. Thus, the analysis is aware that gaps and ruptures on the theme will remain and that it is essential to promote other reflections and dialogues that allow thinking about Amália’s songs associated with areas such as tourism, urban geography, literature and culture.
